FORMULA — PM SPRAY

The importance of Vitamin A

Vitamin A supports vision and plays a role in normal cell division and tissue growth. Including the skin, hair, nails, blood vessels and bone tissue.

In our PM spray, we use vitamin A in the form of retinyl palmitate. A stable form that is readily available for the body.

This form is intentionally selected to provide targeted support within our PM Kids sprays.

More about Vitamin A

  • Vitamin A plays an important role in the growth and maintenance of various body tissues and the immune system.

    Vitamin A:

    • contributes to normal vision
    • supports the normal functioning of the immune system
    • is involved in cell growth and cell specialization (tissue renewal)
    • helps maintain normal skin and mucous membranes

These functions are recognised by EFSA and supported by medical literature.

  • Vitamin A intake is strongly influenced by dietary choices. Those who consume little organ meat, dairy, eggs, or orange and green vegetables may have lower intakes.

As many people avoid healthy fats, vitamin A deficiencies are observed across several age groups in Belgium.

  • Vitamin A naturally occurs in specific food categories, including:

    • fatty fish
    • milk
    • cheese
    • butter
    • liver
  • It is possible, but not always guaranteed. Preformed vitamin A is found in high concentrations mainly in liver and liver products. Vitamin A from vegetables must first be converted by the body, and this conversion varies from person to person.

Dietary research shows that up to 30% of the Belgian population falls below the average intake requirement.

  • Vitamin A supports growth and development through its role in cell renewal and immune function. It is also important for normal vision.

Especially during growth phases, when tissue development and immune resilience are under increased demand, consistent intake becomes relevant.

  • For vitamin A, specific upper intake levels have been established, which we respect in our formulation.

Even with longterm use, our dosage remains safe for children.
